There will be days when you need to solve everyones problem.

When that day arrives, remember Adirondack and our PC-DVR line up.

With almost a Decade of experience with PC-DVRs few companies can match our depth of knowledge.
Why would I choose a PC-DVR?
PC-DVR's use a windows operating system which provides a strong foundation for amazing levels of intellegent video analytics, (programs that read the picture and make decisions from that picture or manipulate the picture) high frame rates and image clarity on record (this allows us to deliver play-back video that can match live view, playback is like watching a movie!)  We can also build 32 and 64 channel PC-DVR recorders due to the much higher levels of system resources available in a PC that we don't have available in an embedded unit.  Bottom line, sometimes we need the strength of a PC-DVR system.

Here are some examples of why you might choose a PC.

1. Amazing Analytics:  With a PC-DVR we can change a License Plate image into a Plate number that can be filtered against a database.  With a PC-DVR we can take the sway out of a camera that is mounted in a tree.  With a PC-DVR we can count people as they enter and exit a building.  With a PC-DVR we can take fog out of an image.  With a PC-DVR we can set off an alarm if someone turns a camera or changes a cameras focus.  With a PC-DVR we can allow you to see pictures of your home from work and when you click on the light switch in your front hallway the light will actually turn on!  With a PC-DVR we can place four cameras all the way around your building and tie them seamlessly together with software that allows for them to display as one image!
2.  Virtually Unlimited Storage:  We are not bound by the limitations of Linux or the size of the case with an embedded/standalone recorder.  With a PC-DVR 8 or 10 terabytes of storage or more is just a product of us building the system for you.
3.  Frame Rate:  Maybe your System is watching a production line for food and you must be absolutely certain of every activity.  Your recording requirements might be for 30ips and high resolution and the ability to store that imagery for the shelf life of the product which might be 6 months.  With a PC-DVR we can design a system that would match your requirements.  Keep in mind that hi frame rate embedded/standalone DVRs are stating their frame rates at 352x240 resolution.  When you increase the resolution to 704x480 your frame rate drops to half and sometimes a quarter of what is specified in their advertisements.  With a PC-DVR we can build you a true 704x480 resolution system that operates at 30ips accross all channels on display and record.
4.  User Interface:  Most embedded/standalone units require the user to interface with the recording device by pushing buttons on the front of the machine.  With a PC-DVR the end user can interface with the common everyday mouse.  They can access recorded data by "clicking" on a playback button, or zoom in on recorded images by "clicking" on them.  Bottom line the PC-DVR is much more user friendly.
5.  Flexibility:  Did you know we can connect both IP or IP megapixel cameras right along side conventional analog cameras with a PC-DVR?
6.  Repair:  Adirondack manufactures their PC-DVR's from scratch at our facility in New York.  Because of this we can completely service or upgrade our machines from top to bottom right here.  Turn around time on your DVR can be as fast as 24 hours.
7.  Size Matters:  We can build you a custom 64 channel PC-DVR.
8.  Remote Viewer:  With a typical embedded/standalone system you could easily reach a maximum number of remote viewers with sometimes as few as 2 or 3 log ins.  With a PC-DVR we have systems that can easily support 30, 40 or even 100 remote veiwers.
